Meet the doctor

Dr. Amanda Tinkle grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, and attended Oregon State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in German with honors, summa cum laude, with a plan of pursuing a career in teaching. In 2001, Dr. Amanda moved to Portland with her future husband, for him to attend dental school, and reconsidered her career path. After learning more about the field as she watched her husband begin his dental journey, she decided to pursue dentistry as well. She attended Portland State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Science, also summa cum laude, then was accepted into the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry.

As multi-tasking is one of her superpowers, Dr. Amanda started a family in her third year of studies by welcoming a baby boy, Isaac. She graduated in 2010 and bought her first practice in Vancouver, WA in 2012. Her daughter, Arden, arrived shortly thereafter. After successfully working as a sole practice owner for seven wonderful years, Dr. Amanda was invited by former dental school classmate, Dr. Benjamin DeGraff, to join him as a partner at Burlingame Dental Arts. It was extremely difficult to leave her beloved patients and team in Vancouver, but the opportunity to partner with her longtime friend and colleague was too exciting to pass up. Burlingame Dental Arts has become her new home, and though Dr. Ben has moved on to follow his family’s dreams, Dr. Amanda has a terrific new partner in Dr. Ryan Voge, also a longtime friend and colleague. She loves living in the community in which she works as it allows her, her husband, Aaron, and their children the opportunity to grow alongside her patients.
